Alkagesta attended GTR Asia 2026 in Singapore on 8 and 9 September, represented by managing directors for investments and asset management Tural Huseynov and Asad Huseynov.

The pair met banking partners, financial institutions and industry participants from across Asia and other key markets over the two-day programme.

This year's agenda ran across geopolitics and Asia-Pacific markets, shocks in the global commodities sector, new financing pathways along the value chain, maritime and shipping risk, the practical state of artificial intelligence in trade, and a transformative period for trade credit insurance.

Singapore has become a central node in the group's network. Since Alkagesta Asia Pte was launched in July 2025, monthly marine fuel distribution volumes have reached 200,000 to 250,000 tonnes, supported by secured storage at Horizon Terminal and a growing naphtha arbitrage book linking European supply infrastructure to Asian demand.

Alkagesta said the conference gave it a platform to deepen relationships with existing financing partners, meet new institutions and explore financing and strategic collaboration as its Asian trading activity scales.
