Alkagesta attended the EU Cross-Border E-commerce Forum in Liège, Belgium, held from 8 to 10 September 2026 and represented by business development manager Alex Yusifli and operations manager Alasgar Guliyev.
The forum was hosted in a city built around one of Europe's leading cargo hubs: Liège Airport ranks as the region's first freighter cargo airport and fifth overall, placing the event at the meeting point of logistics infrastructure, digital commerce and international trade.
Sessions addressed how freight forwarders can balance efficiency, resilience and growth in an unstable cargo market, and how operators are diversifying cargo flows while uncertainty persists.
Other discussions covered data quality and compliance as competitive factors in air cargo, adaptation to new policies and consumer behaviour, standardisation across the sector, and the practical role of generative AI in scaling logistics operations.
Alkagesta said the programme gave it insight into air cargo dynamics and cross-border supply chains, areas increasingly relevant to its commercial activity across global trade and energy markets.
