Alkagesta attended the Asia Pacific Petroleum Conference in Singapore from 7 to 10 September 2026, represented by chief executive Orkhan Rustamov alongside colleagues from the operations, business development and finance functions.

The programme ran across strategic priorities for oil market stability during a period of geopolitical disruption, global oil and refining balances out to 2027, and the reshaping of Asia's crude supply map as buyers weigh optionality, reliability and competition between suppliers.

Delegates also examined which trade flow resets are structural and which may reverse, how crude selection is being approached in a more multipolar market, and the pathway for scaling sustainable aviation fuel by connecting demand, supply and policy.

According to the company's account of the week, supply disruption and its downstream consequences dominated conversation, with participants divided on the demand impact of further escalation. Gasoline and diesel markets remained tight, supporting refining margins and keeping run rates elevated.

The naphtha market showed signs of rebalancing as higher refinery output and additional arbitrage cargoes arrived from Europe and the United States, while petrochemical demand faced pressure from costly feedstock and elevated flat prices.

For Alkagesta, the conference reinforced the value of direct market engagement as it continues to build its presence across Asian energy markets and global commodity trade flows.
